We have a couple of unexpected vacancies for our Kent Scouts expedition to South Africa and are now offering this opportunity to Explorer Scouts and Network Scouts outside of Kent.


Project Aim: Partner with CoCo’s Foundation at the Mseleni Children’s Home in the northern KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa to build a house for an orphaned family plus some excellent Safari and South African cultural experiences.

Dates: Thu 8th Aug - Sat 24th Aug 2019.

Age Range: 16 – 25 year olds.

Cost: The cost of a trip is £2,400. Please note the first £1,000 will need to be paid in January 2019. This can be paid or fundraised or a combination of both! The Foundation take £600 from each volunteer. There is a minimum of eight volunteers on every trip giving them £4,800 to build a house for a child headed family. Or a maximum of 14 young volunteers and 4 leaders (over 25 years old). The £1,800 left is spent on your two flights, one international and one internal along with your transfer from the airport, accommodation, food, transport over the two weeks and a safari for two days. The only extra cost is for your injections and personal insurance.
