Explorers (14 - 18)

Sections

A message from Grant Kerwin-Nye, ACC Explorers, East Sussex:

Welcome to the Explorer area of the County Website.

The Explorer section is the BEST section to be involved in. It is the culmination of all the skills and experiences learnt from Beavers, Cubs and Scouts put into practice in an active and adventurous programme.

Being an Explorer is about trying new things, making new friends and engaging in activities with the wider Scouting Community.

More than any other Section, Explorers are encouraged to play an active role in choosing and running their own activities. How much an individual wants to get involved is entirely down to them but there is assured support and encouragement in all activities.

Explorers can choose to complete their Chief Scout Platinum, Diamond and Queens Scout and/or DofE Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. There is also a Leadership Award that Explorers can work towards as part the Young Leader Scheme. Checkout the Awards Section for further information on gaining Top Awards with East Sussex Scouts.

All the Awards, Activities, Camp and Expeditions are designed to enrich the Explorers wellbeing whilst arming them with the skills to make effective global citizens in an ever-changing world.

Over time, this section of the website will become full of News, Programme Ideas and Events to inspire our Young People to achieve their ideas.

Please feel free to contact me at acc.explorers@eastsussexscouts.org.uk to share your programme ideas, events, photos and experiences. Also, contactable via Twitter @ACCExplorersES.

Now quit reading and get Exploring!!
