Online Validation –
Wood Badge Modules 3 – 19

In East Sussex we are aware that, like most Counties across the country, we do not have sufficient Training Advisers to meet the needs of our adult volunteers who are completing their training. In order to help this situation, we have learned from some other Counties and introduced “on-line validation”. This method is not aimed at replacing Training Advisers who do a great job, but to supplement our offering where, in some circumstances, this option may be appropriate. This is especially true in the current situation where restrictions to meetings may prevent or hinder validation with a Training Adviser.

On each page you will find a series of links to web-based validation questionnaires, these are based on the “Check your Knowledge” questions and validation activities as set out in your Adult Personal File.

Please keep your responses brief, use bullet points where this will help. You can upload any supporting documents; plans, programmes, risk assessments, feedback etc but please respect confidentiality. In your responses, where asked for, please focus your answers on the part or element that you personally played or contributed.

All completed and submitted forms will be reviewed by a Training Adviser (this is likely to be your nominated Training Adviser if advised) and they will contact you to let you know that your submission has been looked at and any further information that may be required. If the validation criteria are met, your Training Adviser will let you know and update your Compass record.

Good luck and if you need any support or have questions, please get in touch at CTA@eastsussexscouts.org.uk.
